Share the Warmth
During the winter months we hang coats for all age groups on the fence in front of the church which are available at no cost to anyone in need. The coats are either gently use donations or purchased with donated funds. Trish and her team placed the coats in a clear plastic bag with a visible note stating the size. We use Facebook to help us spread the word that the coats are available. Over 150 coats found new homes last winter season.
Operation Harley
You will find a doghouse located on the west side of the parking lot. Inside you will find pet food, treats and toys for dogs and cats. We hope this might help our furry friends when their owners are needing a little extra help in their time of need. On the other hand, if you have the ability to help us keeping the Furry Friend Blessing Box stock feel free to include your donations. |
UMCOR Sunday Celebration - March Each Year - One Hour of Giving
- This offering is collected on the fourth Sunday in Lent and provides major support for immediate assistance in the wake of natural and human-caused disaster and helps support ongoing ministries of food, shelter, health and peace. This offering underwrites UMCOR's "cost of doing business, " allowing UMCOR to keep the promise that 100% of any gift to a specific UMCOR project will go toward that project, not administrative costs.
Souper Bowl Sunday Every February
We will be collecting cans of soup on Super Bowl Sunday (throughout February) and to be donated to the local food pantries. Bring your donations during the month of February to the church and the mission's team will deliver to the food pantries.
